Chinese New Year’s was this week, ushering in the Year of the Fire Monkey.
Even if you’re not up on Chinese zodiac, you might guess that—with a name like Fire Monkey—the year ahead is set to be a dynamic, active one.
And you’d be right.
This Yang year is all about jumping in, making decisions, being proactive and pursuing your passions.
It’s also about moving forward…and being fierce.
By “fierce,” I don’t mean aggressive or frightening.
Rather, I mean showing up in a heart-felt, intensely passionate way for something you care about.
I mean showing up in a way that moves you forward…toward where you want to be.
Problem is, at this time of year, you might not be feeling it.
It’s mid-winter, after all. And mid-winter can be an especially tough season to stick with commitments.
You know—the ones you made back in January? Around the time of that other New Year’s?
During these mid-winter months, I see lots of people really struggling. With eating…with health…with feeling down on themselves for not carrying through on resolutions and plans.
Totally get it. Mid-winter isn’t easy.
But know what? Mid-winter—and Chinese New Year—is also a perfect time to re-commit and re-set.
According to the lunar calendar, now is an exceptionally auspicious time to really get started with doing something different…and to carry through on those resolutions and plans.
It’s also an excellent time to ask for support—and to find help shifting out of mid-winter doldrums and into fierce momentum.
If you’re looking for that sort of support when it comes to changing how you eat and your relationship with food…well, that’s what I do.
You can read about my offerings here.
It’d offer a fierce jumpstart to your Fire Monkey Year.
