Have you lost your way with food, eating and health?
Despite making major changes to food and eating patterns, somehow you’re back where you started (at least it feels that way).
You were doing so well…and experiencing such amazing outcomes. But old, unhelpful habits crept back in…and new, healthy ones began slipping away.
Whether your original goal was to lose weight, eat healthier, or overcome an eating addiction or eating disorder, your target destination went from so close…to so far.
This 30-day Reassessment & Renewal package will help you navigate the tough spots and get you back on your way.
There may have been an obvious trigger for the backslide—perhaps a difficult situation at home or work…or a period of extreme stress, loneliness or sadness.
Or maybe you just tried to “ride your own bike” before you were ready.
You say it’ll change “tomorrow,” “next week,” or when “this or that” settles. But the restart date keeps getting pushed back, and jumping back in feels increasingly stressful—like a heavy weight you want to ignore but can’t.
Perhaps the pain of guilt, shame or disappointment is weighing on you too. You want help but feel you “don’t deserve it” or “should” be able to do it alone.
You long to start moving toward your desired destination once more—but it’s just not happening.
So what to do?
Though you’ve made major changes to your food and eating patterns, the path to success usually sees ups and downs.
Transforming our relationship to food and eating is really, really hard. It gets at the core of very deep patterns and beliefs. It requires reexamining our history, our identity, our lifestyle and ourselves.
Plus—let’s face it—life, work and situations beyond our control often get in the way of the best intentions and plans.
Going it alone in this difficult—but normal—part of the change process often adds extra pain, struggle and suffering. This makes getting where you want to be much harder (and less likely).
You already have a strong foundation…why can’t you just “fix” yourself?
Well, for starters, our brains aren’t very good at thinking our way out of habits and patterns. Knowing what you “should” do usually isn’t enough.
Addressing and preventing relapse requires taking a wider view—one encompassing the larger cycle and larger patterns contributing to how things unfold and what’s not working.
Though you could do this on your own, getting structured support vastly increases chances of sustained success. It allows you to lean into someone trained in this area—someone who has seen a similar cycle play out hundreds of times before…and who knows how to help.
It also adds the critical element of compassionate accountability. This is where I am receptive and responsive to your struggles and needs—but also help you hold to your commitments and goals. I do so in a way that highlights curiosity and mindful investigation…as well as resourcefulness and practical solutions.
What happens when you jump back in?
Together, we’ll determine where you are and what you need right now—then plot doable actions to get you back on your way, moving once more toward your goals around food, eating and health.
As part of this, I take special care to identify why your previous changes didn’t stick. I’ll help you examine underlying causes and the wider cycle, or patterns, at work.
Together, we’ll explore how to keep the same thing from happening again in the future, covering:
- Why “falling off the wagon” is a pivotal part of the change process
- How to make temporary set-backs valuable self-experiments
- The secret to breaking unhealthy and addictive cycles
- Practical and mindfulness-based strategies for preventing relapse
- Why self-care, abundance, mindfulness and a sense of play are (at least) as important as a set of “food rules”
How’s it work?
This is a 30-day program with in-person and long-distance options.
We start with extensive reassessment in Week 1.
This gives me an opportunity to find out how things have been going and where you are right now, including your current health and eating patterns and your specific areas of struggle or challenge.
It also offers us a chance to discuss, together, what types of support you’re needing.
I may also give you additional instructions regarding your Food & Drink Log, and/or adjustments to any previous eating guidance or herbal prescriptions.
After this session, you’ll receive:
- Customized eating guidance
- Herbal diagnosis and prescription of medicinal-grade herbs and supplements, along with a $50 credit to use toward prescribed herbs purchased through Alchemist Eating
Long-distance clients have the option of conducting sessions by phone or Skype, and herbs and supplements will be shipped to you directly.
In-person clients also receive:
- Acupuncture treatment
The initial reassessment session is 90 minutes for in-person clients, allowing time for acupuncture. It is 60 minutes for long-distance clients.
We’ll meet for weekly return sessions during Weeks 2-4. These sessions include the same services.
Return sessions are 60 minutes for in-person clients, allowing time for acupuncture. They are 30 minutes for long-distance clients.
During each return session, I will:
- Check in to see how you’re doing and whether anything has changed
- Assess progress toward individual goals around health, lifestyle and eating
- Troubleshoot areas of concern or challenge, ensuring you leave each session with clear, doable next steps
- Prescribe any needed adjustments to your customized eating guidance and/or herbs and supplements
Long-distance clients also receive:
- Weekly email check-ins
This is in place for you to let me know how you’re doing and to request and receive feedback or support. It also helps us stay connected even though we’re not working together in person.
This 30-day package is an excellent option for those I haven’t worked with in a while…and who have experienced some “backsliding.”
It also offers a powerful reboot and refresher for those who haven’t fallen completely off track…but want to make sure things stay that way.
