Today, as a follow-up, we’re sharing a round-up of recipes that use blueberries and blackberries in interesting ways.
Choosing these took a little care, because we were trying to avoid a post overpowered by berry-based desserts (right, Randy?). Sure, those are fine once in a while…but honestly, we like to keep paleo treats to a minimum and focus on the main course.
A few berries with coconut butter or coconut milk? In our world, that’s a perfect after-dinner treat (perhaps with a square of super-dark chocolate). But I’m rarely up for more than that if I eat enough dinner.
So…here’s what we have for you—it’s a small but thoughtfully chosen collection. I recommend picking one or two of the dishes to try this week, incorporating them into your regular eating line-up (that’s what we’ll be doing, prioritizing those featuring animal protein).
(Our homemade savory-tangy blueberry sauce topping lamb-pork meatballs with a side of cinnamon-sprinkled roasted carrot fries…soooo good!)
