Problem is, tackling this project on your own is daunting—for good reason.
In addition to learning and staying within a set of “food rules,” it often involves intense cravings; fluctuations in physical symptoms and mood; and places of pressure or discomfort in family, social or work situations.
There are lots of reasons to fail to complete the full 30 days—and, quite honestly, most people who go it alone do.

Although the basic guidelines are the same for everyone on a paleo-primal elimination diet, people are different and there’s no “one-size-fits-all” set of food rules. Depending on your individual needs, goals and lifestyle, the specifics of your optimal plan will vary.
I recognize this and craft a plan that’s customized to you, drawing on paleo-primal eating principles as well as modern science and Chinese Medicine food therapy.
I also incorporate medicinal-grade herbs and supplements. These medicines, together with your individualized “eating prescription,” are a powerful combination.
Plus, I set you up for successful implementation by building preparation and reintegration periods into the program.
These “bookends” to your self-experiment are just as important as the 30 days in between. They ensure you have a solid plan, strategies and support. They also position you to sustain results and optimize takeaways after the diet’s completion.
In addition, I bring the capacity to work with whatever comes up for you during the course of the program.

I’ll be here to support you through your 30-day self-experiment, easing the way with a customized dietary framework and sense of play—plus ongoing guidance, feedback and strategies for success, covering:

How’s it work?
This is a 45-day program with in-person and long-distance options.
We start with Preparation Week.
During the initial session, I’ll review your current health and eating patterns, as well as your specific goals and needs.
I’ll also give you eating guidelines for the coming 30 days, along with concrete steps to prepare yourself and your pantry. You’ll also have an opportunity to ask any questions or discuss any concerns about the weeks ahead.
I may likewise give you additional instructions regarding your Food & Drink Log, and/or adjustments to any previous eating guidance or herbal prescriptions.
After this session you’ll receive:
- Customized eating guidance
- Herbal diagnosis and prescription of medicinal-grade herbs and supplements, along with a $50 credit to use toward prescribed herbs purchased through Alchemist Eating
Long-distance clients have the option of conducting sessions by phone or Skype, and herbs and supplements will be shipped to you directly.
In-person clients also receive:
- Acupuncture treatment
The initial session is 90 minutes for in-person clients, allowing time for acupuncture. It is 60 minutes for long-distance clients.
Then, in Weeks 2-5, you’ll enter the 30-day Implementation period. During this time, we’ll have weekly return sessions.
Return sessions are 60 minutes for in-person clients, allowing time for acupuncture. They are 30 minutes for long-distance clients.
Long-distance clients also receive:
- Weekly email check-ins
This is in place for you to let me know how you’re doing and to request and receive feedback or support. It also helps us stay connected even though we’re not working together in person.
Finally, Week 6 is all about Reintegration.
During our closing session, we’ll celebrate and review the results of your “self-experiment.” I’ll ensure you have a solid plan in place for reintroducing certain foods back into your diet (while perhaps keeping others off your plate for good).
We’ll also focus on how to sustain results and optimize takeaways after your elimination diet’s completion, making the 30 days worth your effort and commitment.
A single run through this Paleo Bootcamp package can have a lasting, transformative impact on your relationship with food, eating, health and self.
That said, many people choose to repeat it once a year or so, both as a “reboot” and as a way to go deeper. I encourage this—and do it myself!
